My dog can't stand up, is vomiting, and seems weak. What's wrong?

All four legs or just two? Just weakness or paralysis? If it is just the back legs it could be hip dysplasia, a torn cruciate ligament, a dislocated hip a herniated disk in his back - just to name a few. If you are referring to all four legs this could be a muscle problem like myathenia gravis. It could be a nerve root tumor, herniated disk or any number of things. You need to get Millie to your vet for thorough orthopedic and neurological examinations to figure out what is going on with her. That way she can get the best treatment. I hope this helps. I would be very concerned about Bubbles, and take her into a vet immediately. I see that she isn't spayed, which means she can develop a life threatening infection of the uterus called a pyometra. A pyometra is fatal without treatment, and it causes vomiting, weakness, and lethargy, all signs she is showing. Without seeing her in person, I can't say for certain if she has one or not, but because of the seriousness of a pyometra I would take her into vet now. Please take her into an ER vet clinic; if there isn't one in your area, there will be a vet on call for emergencies. Oh no! It sounds like Lela is painful on her right hind leg and needs to be evaluated for an injury or wound. The vomiting and diarrhea could be related to what is going on with her leg or could be caused by something else. I would recommend you take her in to your vet to be evaluated. She may need anti-inflammatories or pain medication for her leg as well as anti-nausea medication and diarrhea medication for her intestinal tract. With vomiting and diarrhea I also get very concerned about dehydration, so she may need some fluid treatment as well to get her feeling better. Good luck! Those are definitely concerning symptoms that warrant getting her to the vet as soon as possible. If she's awake and alert, breathing normally, with pink gums like the picture, waiting until first thing tomorrow morning is likely ok, but I can't be sure something serious isn't going on from what you've described. The list of possible causes is long and varies from a minor soft tissue injury, to an orthopedic issue, or something life threatening like a twisted stomach or pyometra (very uncommon in spayed dogs).

The possible causes are many and could include severe parasitism, infectious disease, autoimmune disease, organ failure, cancer, toxin exposure. Your dog needs veterinary attention right away if she is to survive, or to help her pass peacefully if you are unable to provide care for her.
