My dog had a dental done today with 4 extractions (2 of them being surgical) as well as slight gum trimming due to gingivitis. I gave a Tramadol at 7 pm and some rice in water for dinner (small amounts separated an hour apart) and then he vomited a small amount. He is up and walking around but still can tell sleepy/out of it from the anesthesia. Should I be concerned?

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Being down can sometimes last several hours even a few days. However, the vomiting after drinking water is very concerning. I highly recommend that you have him evaluated by a veterinarian for further assessment. This is likely from the anesthesia but it would be a good idea to at least support him with anti-nausea medications to make him feel better. Best of luck!
