My dog threw up. Is it from rich food or Heartgard medication?

That is unlikely to be related to heart worms, but more likely to dietary indiscretion. As a first approach I would recommend to withhold food for the next 8-12 hours and then start feeding with a bland diet based on boiled chicken and rice in small portion every 6 hours for the following 48hours. Then gradually reintroduce the normal diet over 5 days. I would definitively recommend a veterinary check up if the signs persist or you notice diarrhoea, more vomiting, lethargy or inappetence. She might have eaten something spoiled that is causing this. withhold food for 12 hours then offer her boiled boneless chicken and rice every 6 hours in small portions. if she is eating and not vomiting, continue with this diet for 2 days. After 2 days, you can put her back gradually on her normal food. If she continues vomiting or is not eating, take her to the vet to get treatment.

Feed her a bland diet of boiled white meat chicken (no bones) and white rice in small amounts several times a day for a couple of days. Then slowly add back in her normal diet. If she vomits the bland diet, refuses to eat the bland diet, develops diarrhea, stops drinking water, starts vomiting water, or becomes very lethargic, she will need to see a vet right away. You could try withholding food for about 6-8 hours as long as Julie is otherwise healthy and doesn't have any other symptoms. You could then try offering a a small amount of a bland diet like a mixture of 25% plain, boiled boneless chicken breast and 75% plain cooked white rice (as long as Julie doesn't have any food sensitivities). If she continues to vomit you should contact your vet.

I would not worry too much about the pinkishness. This could be from coloring in the medication or from strenuous vomiting. As long as the vomitus is not frank blood, I would not worry about it. It is quite possible that he is suffering from a side effect of the Interceptor. This will usually pass. However: Throwing up can be caused by a food sensitivity, dietary indiscretion, intestinal parasites, an intestinal blockage, bacterial infection, viral infection, the weather, food change, stress, etc.  I would fast Jack for 24 hours and then put the dog on bland food for two days, such as boiled white rice and boiled white boneless chicken meat, fed in small quantities over several feeds and then transition back to regular food slowly over a few days. If this does not clear up the vomiting or if the vomiting increases, or if your dog gets lethargic, it needs to see a veterinarian for an exam as there may be something more serious such as an infection going on.

I am a little concerned that Honey is continuing to vomit. I would recommend waiting at least 4-6 hours between meals to give her time to digest her food. If she is not on an antinausea medication, like Cerenia, I would recommend calling your vet and seeing if you can pick some up. If she is on an antinausea medication and is still vomiting, this is very concerning. Hopefully the vomiting will stop on its own but if it doesn't you need to have Honey rechecked.
