My dog keeps vomiting phlegm frequently. What could be the reason?

Pet's info: Dog | French Bulldog | Female | spayed | 3 years and 2 months old | 28 lbs

My Frenchton is 3 and she is starting to vomit phlegm. It happened about 1 month ago and she has dose it 4 times with in the month.

This could indicate a number of things. It possible that Chloe developed a food sensitivity, reflux, gastrointestinal stasis, internal organ issues, or esophageal inflammation.

If the vomiting continues it would be best to have Chloe examined by a veterinarian. She may need X-rays or even blood work to determine the cause of the vomiting.

A bland diet of boiled chicken and sweet potato can be offered for a day or two to see if this helps settle Chloe's stomach, but if the vomiting continues she will need to see a veterinarian for medication options.

I would try a bland diet of boiled boneless chicken and white rice. This is easily digestible for his upset gastrointestinal tract. You can also add cooked skinless sweet potato to help with the diarrhoea.

It is difficult to say whether Chloe has an infection or perhaps parasite infestation. If she does not perk up soon, the diarrhoea continues, she bonus, seems weak it lethargic I would advise taking her to see a veterinarian as soon as possible.

Hello, sorry to hear about Chloe. Most common causes of diarrhea and vomiting may include a dietary indiscretion, inflammatory bowel disease, parasites and viral infections. Other causes may include liver, kidney, pancreatic, or Addison's disease.

You can continue to feed her the pedialyte and offer a bland diet of plain white rice, skinless and boneless boiled chicken, and cottage cheese low fat for 3-5 days. Ultimately, if this does not improve, Chloe may need to be evaluated by a veterinarian to assess for any of the above conditions and administer the appropriate medications.

It could be Chloe has a severe GI illness, may have eaten something rotten, has a foreign body, or pancreatitis. Given that she has been vomiting for four days, it's time to see a vet. Please take her into one immediately.

Why is my 5-month-old puppy vomiting phlegm? Antacid isn't working.

It sounds as Lucy is suffering from a gastrointestinal condition, possibly an infection. it could also be due to ingestion of a foreign body material. i would recommend taking her to the vet the first chance you get, she will need to be checked first, if the vet thinks it's a simple gastrointestinal infection she will need an anti vomiting injection, antibiotics and a special food for a few days in order to get better. if the vet thinks it is more serious she will need a blood test and possibly an ultrasound in order to find out what is wrong.

My dog is throwing up phlegm, not eating or drinking. Should I worry?

I would suggest to withhold food for the next 8 hours and then start feeding with a bland diet based on boiled chicken and rice in small portion every 6 hours for the following 48hours. Then gradually reintroduce the normal diet over 5 days. I would definitively recommend a veterinary check up if the signs persist or you notice diarrhoea, more vomiting, lethargy or persistent inappetence. For this reason, I highly recommend that you have Chewy evaluated by a veterinarian for further assessment and treatment as soon as possible as I am afraid she is likely becoming dehydrated.
