Dog vomiting, eating grass, but seems fine. When to call the vet?

Other possibilities include food sensitivity/allergy, gut parasites, or infection. I would recommend taking Miley back to the vet within the next 12 hours if she is continuing to vomit during this time. They may recommend performing an x-ray to rule out the possibility of an obstruction. At minimum, they can prescribe medication to help settle her tummy and prevent nausea. In the meantime, if you recently offered any new diet or treats, discontinue them and try going back to her old diet. Your vet may also recommend a diet formulated for sensitive stomachs. Sonetimes dogs get a bit of a tummy upset called gastritis. It can be caused by eating something rancid or an infection. Sometimes they simply have too much acid. Eating grass is a sign the tummy is sore. He will likely be a little unsettled but if he is not continually vomiting I would let him rest overnight then take him to the vet in the morning g if he is still poorly. Don't feed anything At the moment.

The can eat grass because their stomach hurts or vomit from eating grass just because they like grass. This can be an allergy since she is itching also or they may be unrelated. i would have vet check her since she is vomiting and limit the grass she eats. You can try plan chicken and rice as this is bland to make sure she digest it well.

I don't think this is urgent at all. I think you should fast Ellie for the next 24 hours and see if she continues to have any more vomiting episodes. If there is more than two more, I would consider getting her in somewhere to get checked out. Otherwise, after the fasting period feed something bland for a day or two before resuming regular diet. Try boiled chicken and rice or boiled hamburger. You can also try and obtain Ellie's temperature at home to check for fever (normal is between 99 and 102.5). I would not be overly worried about a single episode of vomiting but I cannot make this call for you. You know your dog best so if you are worried then you should take her in now for an exam. If you want to just watch her for a few hours you can. I would not wait days though. If you monitor her for a few hours and the vomiting continues or she starts with other symptoms (diarrhea, not eating, etc) then she should definitely see a vet.

It sounds as Albus is suffering from a gastrointestinal condition, possibly an infection. it could also be due to ingestion of a foreign body material. i would recommend taking him to the vet the first chance you get, he will need to be checked first, if the vet thinks it's a simple gastrointestinal infection he will need an anti vomiting injection, antibiotics and a special food for a few days in order to get better.
