My pug has an upset stomach, no diarrhea. What home remedies help?

My pug 5 yrs old weighs around 12kg.. has stomach upset.. no diarrhoea as of now and no change in the food

Poor Dorro! It could be he ate something that has upset his stomach. I can give you a home remedy to try to see if that helps. Withhold food for 6-8 hours, then feed a bland diet of boiled white meat chicken (no bones) and white rice in small amounts several times a day for a couple of days. Then slowly add back in his normal diet. If the vomiting starts in the absence of food, he vomits the bland diet, develops diarrhea, stops drinking water, starts vomiting water, or becomes very lethargic, he will need to see a vet right away. I would strongly recommend having him seen by a veterinarian as it seems he is very sick. The symptoms you are describing could be consistent with a variety of different conditions such as a problem within the GI tract -foreign body ingestion, inflammation, parasites, or infection. It could also be a sign of an abnormality outside of the GI tract such as a liver or kidney abnormality. The veterinarian will likely recommend performing systemic bloodwork and possibly abdominal X-rays.

Poor Puggy! The blood work show an elevated creatinine which is definitely indicative of kidney problems. Since he is so weak and not eating, I would talk to your vet about giving him IV or Subcutaneous fluids to help flush him out. Also, you can try to offer him some plain chicken (no bones) and rice to see if this will help to entice him to eat. I hope this helps and he starts to feel better.

You are correct that Royal Canin is a better food for Darcy, and it's a good you are making the switch to it. It could be that the combination of the Pedigree and Royal Canin is causing the diarrhea, and she's not eating because of an upset stomach. I wouldn't be worried just yet, and I will give you a home remedy to try before having to take her into the vet. Withhold food for 12-24 hours, then feed a bland diet of boiled white meat chicken (no bones) and white rice in small amounts several times a day for a couple of days. Then slowly add back in her normal diet, just the Royal Canin dry only. The diarrhea could also be caused by intestinal parasites, and I would make sure she is up to date on her deworming treatments.

My Pug has diarrhea, stiff back legs, and is tired. Is it serious?

Poor Frank! This vomiting and diarrhea could be caused by a severe GI illness, eating something rotten, or a foreign body. Lethargy would be an accompaniment of being this ill, while his back legs could be sore from having to squat so frequently to have diarrhea. I would try a home remedy first, but if he still has the same symptoms in the morning, I would take him into the vet for an exam. Withhold food for 12-24 hours, then feed a bland diet of boiled white meat chicken (no bones) and white rice in small amounts several times a day for a couple of days. Then slowly add back in his normal diet. If his symptoms worsen in the night, I would take him into an ER vet right away.
