Updated on September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Male | neutered | 5 years old | 20 lbs

Hi Im going to visit my mom vacation and would like to take my dog. He is neutered 6 years old. He's never traveled has had some behavior issues. She lives in a tropical island worry getting full of ticks but biggest concern is that she has a female dog, spayed. I know her and she's lovely. But afraid that although cannot have babies my dog might want hump her. if that happens he can become aggressive with anyone comes near her He did it once before when he got a dog pregnant. I would recommend looking into the requirements for your dog to travel to this island. Most islands are rabies free and you will need a rabies titer which can take 6 plus weeks to get back. this titer has to be sent to a very specific lab and also you will need a international health certificate writen by a usda vet. It might not be worth the stress and expense of travel to take him with you for a vacation
