My KC registered dog is too big. Are his breed papers fake?

If your breeder didn't provide you with any paperwork documenting his parentage (such as an AKC registration certificate) then unfortunately there is no way to prove for certain whether he is purebred or not. If you want to try and find out "unofficially", you can have him DNA tested using a Wisdom Panel blood or cheek swab test. These tests aren't always completely accurate, but could give you an idea of whether Halo has any other breeds in his background :)

Unfortunately we cannot tell if a pet is 100% anything without a DNA test. Also a pet this young is impossible to tell what breed it is. I would recommend having the pet grow up a bit and then have him tested when he is about 4-6 months of age. You can go to any vet of your choosing, although it may require you to drive a bit to get to if there isn't one that isn't affiliated with the breeder in your area. It sounds a bit ridiculous that your vet isn't willing to do a simple DNA test though, so I would look into getting another vet if this is the case. You need an unbiased opinion here and someone willing to do tests that you are requesting. I hope that you get things sorted out, and hopefully you have gotten what you have paid for. Hi, thanks for using PetCoach! Jack is super cute! You can probably ask 10 vets and you'll get 10 different answers. He isn't a pure bred dog and there are likely many breeds that contributed to how Jack looks. He likely has Chow (though his tongue isn't pigmented) or Samoyed to get that type of tail. The rest is likely a retriever or shepherd mix. For fun you can do DNA test, they aren't very accurate but it might be entertaining at least.
