Why is my dog so tired after vet visit and Cerenia for diarrhea?

These are not side effects of the medications, these are symptoms related directly to the medical condition that caused the vomiting in the first place. if by tomorrow you see no improvement you will need to take her back to the vet.

Glad to hear that the vomiting was resolved with Cerenia. This is usually a pretty good indication that there is no serious obstruction within the upper or lower intestinal tract. If there is continued diarrhea, the addition of an antibiotic / anti inflammatory such as metronidazole would be my next step. You can certainly use medications such as pepto bismol or maalox but I do not find them to be very effective. They do not actually address inflammation in a particularly effective manner. Another possibility unfortunately that can not be ignored in an 11 year old animal are certain types of cancer. However, I would not truly begin to consider this strongly unless there has been a longer history of problems, including weight loss and muscle wasting. Hope this makes sense.

The injection is called Cerenia, if this didn't help then you must take him back to the vet for a blood test and xray/ulrasound, he might be suffering from either a foreign body in the GI tract or severe gastrointestinal infection.

I doubt it's the cerenia, it's more likely the cause of the vomiting that is making her weak, a large mass on the liver can cause very severe symptoms, i think you should bring her back to the vet in order to have a blood test done.

It can take several days for the diarrhea to resolve. Continuing to feed a bland diet may help and finishing out the course of metronidazole is always recommended. If Henry's diarrhea persists even after the metronidazole is finished or if you feel he is getting worse again, I would recommend having your veterinarian exam Henry again to determine what might be going on.

I'm glad you have been in contact with Alaska's vet. Lethargy is a side effect of CERENIA, and this lethargy could potentially lead to slow and even breathing. That kind of breathing is ok. I would continue to monitor her.
