Unfortunately there isn't anything you can do at home for Sam at this point in time except withhold food and rest him. He should see a vet now, he sounds terribly sick. Possible causes of vomiting include GI illness, eating something rotten, a foreign body, or a pancreatitis. Without seeing him in person, I can't say for certain what is causing his vomiting, but I can say that when a dog is vomiting for longer than 24 hours, it's time to see a vet. Poor Gatsby! He could have a GI illness, may have eaten something rotten, could have a foreign body, or may have pancreatitis. I can give you a home remedy to see if that helps. Withhold food for 12 hours, then feed a bland diet of boiled white meat chicken (no bones) and white rice in small amounts several times a day for a couple of days. Then slowly add back in his normal diet. If the vomiting continues in the absence of food, he vomits the bland diet, develops diarrhea, stops drinking water, starts vomiting water, or becomes very lethargic, he will need to see a vet right away. At this point in time, and due to the severity of his symptoms, this cannot be treated at home. You must take him into a vet now.
