My dog is thin, weak, not eating, and has eye issues. What's wrong?

Poor Zoey. There are so many things that can cause weight loss, lack of appetite and lethragy like an infection, parasites, liver or kidney disease, a pyometra (infection if the uterus), cancer, and much more. I would have you vet take a look at her. Your vet will be able to do blood work and possible x-rays if needed. They will be able to get her started on the proper treatment plan to help her feel better. I hope this helps!

This looks like very severe allergies or a condition like mange though other possibilities like immune mediated disease still have to be considered. This can be differentiated based on physical examination and basic diagnostics. This must be really painful and for that reason I highly recommend that you have Callie evaluated by a veterinarian for further assessment and treatment as soon as possible. Her decreased appetite is likely due to discomfort. They would be able to check for these possibilities and most importantly, treat her accordingly. Poor Chispa sounds extremely ill! This extreme weakness could be caused by injury, systemic illness, heartworm disease, infection, and inflammation. She needs to see a vet right away, please take her into an ER vet now.

The discharge from the eye may be related to a mild to moderate conjunctivitis (even though a picture of it would be necessary to give you more specific answers). Inappetence is a quite generic but concerning presentation. Differentials are many, from gastrointestinal diseases (infection/inflammations often dietary related) to any disease that can spread systemically (causing lethargy for example) like infection, and anything that can cause pain/discomfort. The approach must be logic, starting from offering different kind of food. A check up is needed if inappetence lasts for more than 24hours. Traxex is experiencing very general symptoms of disease, these symptoms could fit almost any internal condition, maybe she is suffering from nausea due to a gastrointestinal disease and maybe she is in pain, from the symptoms described it's very hard to know. i would recommend taking her to the vet as soon as possible in order to get her checked, if she doesn't show any other obvious symptoms during the examination, a blood test and possibly an ultrasound will be needed in order to try and find out what is wrong with her.

Hello, I believe you just posted recently about your dog. I replied to that post however this post suggests a much more serious and fast weight loss. If you are seeing rapid weight loss over a short period of time you need to have your dog seen by a veterinarian. They will likely want to do some bloodwork. Also, if her eyes were looking funny that can be a problem with the eyes, or with the brain, depending on what you were seeing. I recommend bringing her to a veterinarian as soon as possible. Your dog needs to be seen by your vet as soon as possible. Any abrupt change in behavior or attitude is a sign he's not feeling well, and without an exam from a vet there's no real way to know what's going on and therefore, how to treat it. He could have eaten something he shouldn't have that's causing an obstruction or irritation, he could have been exposed to something toxic that you weren't aware of, there's a number of possibilities. Your vet will do an exam, lab work, possibly x-rays if indicated, and based on these results, your vet will be better able to understand what is going on with your dog and how best to treat him.
