Pet's info: Dog | Giant Schnauzer | Female | spayed | 9 years and 7 months old | 70 lbs
Our giants schnauzer has had a swollen toe for over 2 months. Although the test found 2 bacteria, they did not respond to an antibiotics treatment. The vet suggests to amputate the toe. W are not sure as the blood test did not show any cancer. Also the X-ray did not show any bone changes. We are not sure what to do. We think that the amputation is not the best solution as a preventive treatment. Please, advise.
