Updated on September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Bulldog | Female | spayed

Luna has allergies and she’s being chewing on her paws one of them was raw so I put coconut oil and a sock I guess the sock was too tight I just took it off to clean it and her paw is swollen It was a little cold to the touch but i started rubbing it and it got warmer i also soaked it in Epson salt it there anything else I can do to bring the swelling down or do I have to rush her to the vet? She’s panting a little but not crying in pain and is trying to use it and put weight on it

I would take Luna into the vet. It could be that she has developed an infection from chewing her paws raw, or it could be that the sock was too tight and causing the swelling. She is showing you it's painful because she's having trouble putting weight on it. Have this checked out by a vet today. Best of luck.
