Dog's swelling and abscess returned after tooth removal. Help!

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Female | 8 years and 6 months old | 85 lbs

my dog had its two top back teeth removed two weeks ago.now I notice the abscess,and swelling under the had come back.what can be done!

Thank you for submitting your question regarding Gerty. I am sorry to hear about her recent troubles. Either the abscess was not related to her teeth or a portion of the infected root was left behind. Did she have x-rays taken of her mouth after the extractions to ensure the roots were fully removed? Either way, she will need to see her veterinarian again. In the meantime, you can apply a warm compress to the swelling for 5 mins three times per day if she will allow it. I hope this information helps!
