Yes, this can pose a serious risk for an obstruction. Pongo should be seen by your veterinarian or at the nearest veterinary ER. Either can induce vomiting via injection to hopefully bring up the socks. If not, endoscopy or surgery may be necessary to remove them. Do not delay. The risk for complications can increase if the socks leave the stomach.
