Poor guy. Unfortunately we don't have video sharing set up through the website. However, you can probably get creative and find out how to share a video using a 3rd party. Regardless of that, even if your pet is having a hard breathing through his nose, he will need to be properly examined unfortunately. Even after a physical exam, he still may need some kind of diagnostic testing such as scoping or radiographs. If an upper airway infection is likley the cause, then a short course of antibiotics should clear things up; however, its imperative that you get Spy seen soon in case this is a more serious condition (i.e. heart disease, pneumonia, bronchitis. This can be a number of respiratory issues including laryngeal paralysis, laryngeal obstruction, or just a benign condition called reverse sneezing, where it appears he is struggling to breathe but it is actually a tickling of the larynx and completely harmless. I would recommend recording the next episode on your phone and then showing the video to your vet for advise on what to do. If at any point your pet's tongue turns blue or he passes out or if you feel that he is in respiratory distress, then I encourage you to go to an ER vet.

Poor girl. Her repeated swallowing behavior and eating grass suggest that Snickers is likely nauseous. She may have eaten something that upset her stomach or may even have something caught in her throat. See if you can get her to open her mouth so you can take a peek towards the back of her throat for any foreign objects. IF she does not allow you to do so and otherwise seems fine, just let her rest tonight and get her examined in the morning by your regular vet if the problem continues. I have seen this a lot in dogs that have a stick stuck to the roof of their mouth, so a foreign object is highly suspected here. In most cases, if the pet isn't vomiting and still eating, the problem can be resolved with your vet's help. I hope that your fur baby Snickers gets some relief soon! Best wishes and take care.

I'm wondering if the deep breathing you are seeing is a reverse sneeze, which can be caused by irritation to the nasal passages and throat. I have a link to a video of a reverse sneeze below. If you think this is the case I think it would be okay to monitor Peaches during the day. If she vomits again, does not want to eat, or has diarrhea I'd recommend seeing the vet. It sounds like Moka may be congested, and it could be she has a problem like a respiratory infection or heart disease causing this breathing issue. I am so sorry to hear about Maddie! It definitely sounds like she is battling nausea in the evenings. Dogs often eat grass to try to settle their stomach. The question is why? Have you changed foods? Have you started going to the dog park after dinner? Is she nauseous at any other time of day? Losing weight? Pregnant? Getting into the trash/cat litter every afternoon? Because so many things can cause nausea, I would highly recommend you see your vet as soon as possible. He or she will ask many more questions, do a good physical exam and potentially recommend x-rays and/or bloodwork to help determine what is going on. In the meantime, I would not recommend peroxide as this is actually damaging to the gut lining and I try to avoid it except in emergencies. Rice and sweet potato won’t hurt but they are unlikely to stop vomiting. When Maddie seems nauseous, pick up the food and water. Reintroduce water 4 hours after any vomiting or after she seems comfortable again. Reintroduce a small meal 13 hours after any vomiting. Hope this helps and best of luck to you and Maddie!
