Why is my dog straining, peeing blood, and having urine accidents?

Thank you for submitting your question regarding Chutki. She needs to see her veterinarian right away. She may have a severe urinary tract infection, bladder stones or even a bleeding disorder. Oh my. These symptoms are alarming and very concerning. Jojo could either have a serious cystitis (inflamed bladder), raging UTI, or even a bleeding disorder is possible here. Please take her to your local vet asap for an exam, urinalysis and immediate treatment based on her lab findings. I would recommend taking her to the ER vet if at all possible, so that she can get treated quickly before this gets any worse.

Reasons for blood in the stool include colitis, intestinal parasites and dietary indiscretion and some possible reasons of blood in the urine include urinary tract infections, urinary stones and even tumors. I am so sorry that Puffy is having this issue. I would recommend having an x-ray performed to rule out or in stones. If she has bladder stones then ideally she would have surgery. If she is about 10 years old I wouldn't be concerned about the surgery as long as her physical examination is good and her blood work is good. If she does not have bladder stones I would recommend getting a urine culture performed and potentially an ultrasound of her bladder. The urine culture will definitively rule out a urinary tract infection while the ultrasound will make sure there is no mass in her bladder. Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Unfortunately due to the color of your tile I can't tell 100% if that is blood. You will need to collect a urine sample and have your Vet check it. Causes of blood in the urine are a urinary tract infection, crystals in the urine or bladder stones. It isn't from the topical flea treatment or the dewormer. I wish you the best!

Blood in the urine can signal a urinary tract infection. Ginger should be taken to her veterinarian for an exam and urine testing very soon to determine if an infection is present and what bacteria is the cause. Ginger may need antibiotics or other medications as needed.
