My vet took the top staple out yesterday as it moved. Would you of put another staple in? Also is it normal to have a to keep staples in for 2-3-4 weeks? Vets said we could have another few weeks with them in as she struggling to heal. Picture doesn't show how open it is. It's quite deep still.

Thank you very much for your inquiry.
Given that the dog will have his cone on and that the wound seems to be healing nicely, most veterinary staples can stay in for two weeks and not have any problems when they are removed.
I encourage you, however, to contact the veterinarian who placed the staples and make sure that this is the case.
