My dog's poop is soft and unformed, but vet tests are normal. Why?

Updated on September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Male | 10 years and 1 month old | 25 lbs

My dog's poop is kinda soft, they are not formed or log-like; is there something wrong? His blood tests were ok. Fecalysis ok.

I'm sorry to hear that Marble is having soft stool. If parasites have been ruled out, then I would suggest a diet change. A low fat and highly digestible formula with a probiotic may improve his stool quality. If that does not help, then he will likely need further blood work or an abdominal ultrasound. I hope this information helps!
