My Doberman puppy has skin spots. Could it be heat or an infection?

Updated on September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Doberman Pinscher | Male

I have adopted a doberman puppy today and found these spots on its skin. Is is because of heat(since temp. In Delhi is around 40°C) or some fungal infection. Please help.

If looks like he has a dermatitis which could be from a bacterial infection, fungal infection, or possibly mites. He should be examined by a vet to determine the cause. Your vet may need to do a skin scrape, culture, or cytology to help determine the exact cause. Once diagnosed, the appropriate medication can be prescribed. I don’t think this problem is secondary to the heat. Good luck with your new puppy.
