My dog has skin sores. Is bathing them every 2-3 weeks too much?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Female | 125 lbs

Hello I give my dog's a both every 2 or 3 weeks and they have skin sores I don't see fleas on them and I'm using the shampoo from PetSmart in my bathing them too often

You are bathing them quite a lot, dogs coats quickly get stripped of natural oils that help the skin. I would only wash a dog every 2 to 3 months unless they are very smelly or have a skin condition requiring medicated shampoo. You could be damaging their skin barrier.
