My dog has a new lump on her skin. Is it cancerous or benign?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Small (up to 22lb) | Female | spayed | 20 lbs

Hello! This mass didn't seem to be there a couple of weeka ago and I am worries it might be cancerous. Does it look, at first glance, as benign?

Although it's difficult to tell from a picture, at first glance I do think this potentially looks like a benign skin growth known as an adenoma. Since it is new, I would recommend having your veterinarian examine Mollie to see what they think it is. They might recommend taking a sample using a needle to help determine whether or not cancerous cells are present.
