My dog's skin bump got worse after vet visit and Cephalexin.

Updated on September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Labrador Retriever | Male | neutered | 95 lbs

On Friday we saw a bump and took a picture. Took him to the vet Saturday, and they said not ringworm, must be a bite. Gave us Cephalexin. Sunday worse. ??? Can I send pics on this?

It does look like a bacterial skin infection which could have started from a bite. Cephalexin is a very good skin antibiotic. I suggest you take Echo back to the vet tomorrow for a recheck. The vet may want to do a little biopsy to send to a lab to determine what is causing this lesion.
