My healthy cat has blue skin. Is this a normal color or a problem?
Hello, frequently, it may be apparent that cants and sometimes dogs may have a pale or even bluish skin. It is not generally associated with any diseases, diet, or hairballs. This may actually be associated with blood supply to and from his skin. After blood is delivered to any organ, it releases oxygen and blood becomes darker in color, a blue color. This may be the reason why Kane's skin appears more blue. Alternatively, his dark coat may also be giving his skin this color appearance.
As long as Kane is otherwise doing ok, he likely does not have anything abnormal going on with him. Monitor for any scratching, hair loss, weight loss, dry coat, and if you note any of these, then have him evaluated. Home his helps and best of luck.
