Why does my large Labrador get sick after playing ball indoors?

If it's quite hot where you are, that can explain why Snowball isn't playing as much as usual. That would be a good thing, as playing too much in the heat will lead to heat stroke, which is too often fatal. I would keep an eye on her, and make sure she stays as cool as possible. If he is regularly active and has this issue than that would be concerning he could have some arthritis in his joints due to dysplasia or another conformational abnormality. We can also have heart issue lead to weakness, or neuromusclular disease such as myasthenia gravis. If he is getting very tired every once in awhile after a rare day of lots of activity (say he normally goes on a 20 minute long walk every day, but this weekend he walked for 5 hours and is sore the next day) then this could just be that is is overexerting himself. But what you are describing sounds more concerning and I would recommend a visit to his vet for an examination.

I'm sorry to hear Max is feeling so ill. If this was sudden and he is still acting very ill, it would be best to seek veterinary care ASAP from your vet or an ER clinic. It is possible there is something that made him ill, something he ate that got him sick, or there is an underlying condition or issue that is causing illness or exercise intolerance which should be checked out. It's not normal to throw up from running around and playing. It's possible Kona has some tracheal irritation from a low grade infection or allergies and the exercise caused it to become worse. Irritation in the stomach could also cause the same clinical signs. You may consider having Kona examined by the veterinarian to be on the safe side. Resting Kona for the next week may also help (no activity that makes her pant or run). Monitor her for any respiratory symptoms such as coughing, sneezing or a runny nose. It could just be you are doing too much with Kitty, and she is tired and taking a break. Gradually increasing activity can help, as well as providing plenty of breaks. If this is a new or sudden symptom for her, or she seems in distress after exercise (wheezing, turning pale, struggling to get about, etc) then it is best to have her examined by your vet for exercise intolerance and to try and find a cause.

It could be Mac is painful from his play in the snow, and may have injured himself. I recommend resting him for the next 48 hours. No running, jumping, or playing. Take him out to toilet on a leash, and bring him right back in when he's done. If he still appears painful after this time, then I would take him into the vet for an exam. The vet can diagnose where the pain is coming from, and can dictate a treatment plan for it. He may also benefit from some pain medications, which the vet can prescribe. Please do not give him any human pain medications, as many are toxic to dogs and can be fatal if given. Best of luck.
