My dog is shaking, whimpering, drooling. How to make him comfortable?

Shaking and panting can also indicate pain. Small breed dogs are prone to neck and/or back pain. This is very common and can make a dog hesitant to walk, jump.or go up stairs. Prior to your appointment, keep him very quiet and carry him if he needs to move. Limiting his movements can help to ease any pain he may be experiencing. Offer water so that he does not become dehydrated. He may not want to eat though if he is nauseous. Do not give any over-the-counter pain medications as these can be be toxic to dogs. You can warm towels in the dryer to wrap him in as most dogs like to be warm. I hope this information helps!
