My dog's diarrhea is better, but now her legs are shaking. Why?

It sounds like your dog is very uncomfortable or even painful, probably in his belly from your description of his symptoms. The diarrhea could be caused by any number of things; intestinal parasites, a bacterial infection, even being constipated will sometimes manifest as diarrhea because liquid feces is all that will get by the impacted fecal material. It could be as simple as a dietary indiscretion, meaning he might have gotten into the trash and eaten something that didn't agree with him. If he continues to have loose stool, or starts vomiting, loses his appetite, acts lethargic, and/or develops a fever, get him in to be seen by your vet right away as this could indicate a more serious problem.

Shasta is experiencing two very different issues that may not have anything to do with one another unfortunately. In terms of hind end lameness, the most common causes of this are traumatic injuries, inflammatory conditions (arthritis / tendinitis), infectious diseases, tick borne diseases, nutritional deficiencies, clotting disorders, and certain cancers. As for diarrhea, the common causes of this include dietary indiscretion, inflammatory conditions of the GI tract, pancreatitis, parasites, infectious diseases, immune-mediated conditions, and certain types of cancers. To address either of these issues if they have been occurring for a significant period of time, both blood work and imaging modalities would be needed. This doesn't sound like an emergency or anything, but if either of these problems has been persistent I would consider making an appointment to have Shasta seen sometime soon for a work-up. This sounds like a medical emergency and you should have Puddin seen right away. The potential cause for her signs are a slipped disc in her back causing pinching of her nerves going to her back legs (Intervertebral disc disease), trauma, spinal infection, a spinal tumor or a toxin. The veterinarian will want to perform a through exam and localize the pain. They will also check Puddin's neurologic function which will help to determine if her signs are due to a spinal problem. If her signs worsen and she can no longer walk on her back legs, she may need an MRI or surgery. Please have her seen, good luck.

Muscle tremors in the back legs can be a sign of pain, anxiety, or a neurologic problem. It's difficult to know if the injections might be related without knowing exactly what they were. If the tremors are the only symptom and your dog is not walking normally and does not seem painful you might be safe to monitor this weekend and see your vet when they open. If your dog is weak, having trouble walking, appears painful or has other symptoms like a decreased appetite or vomiting I'd recommend seeing an emergency veterinarian.

Going stiff in the back legs is not expected and is very concerning. I recommend to have her seen by her veterinarian today. Infections or toxins could cause both of the symptoms and these can be very serious. Just like with humans, getting an accurate diagnosis and early treatment gives a better prognosis. If she is unvaccinated for distemper, I would potentially consider this as a possibility but in older animals, distemper is not commonly seen. She may be uncomfortable from something (painful) or an infection / systemic disease. If adjusting the temperature to keep her warm does not help, I would recommend having a veterinarian examine her so that the most appropriate diagnostic and treatment recommendations can be made. I am sorry max is not feeling well. Typically diarrhea is not associated with a neurological disease. The diarrhea could be caused by diet, infectious diseases, and cancers. The abnormal walking can be caused my severe arthritis or neurological disease. I would continue to see your veterinarian tomorrow for better assessment and diagnostics like bloodwork and x-rays.
