My dog is shaking, sick, and drooling excessively. Should I see a vet?

Updated on September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Labrador Retriever | Male | unneutered | 11 months and 15 days old

My dog has suddenly started to violently shake, he’s been sick and been drooling excessively. My friends think that I’m being paranoid but I’m scared that something more serious is going on. What do you think?

What you're describing could certainly be something very serious. Is there any possibility that Archer got into anything toxic? I think you should always listen to your gut, so if you are worried that something more serious is going on, I would take Archer to a veterinarian for an examination. Hopefully everything will be normal and it will set your mind at ease, but I think it's always better to be safe than sorry.
Good luck! I hope that was helpful and that Archer feels better soon. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach.
