Updated on September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Cavalier King Charles Spaniel | Male | unneutered

Hello my dog had 3 seizures in 24hrs the vet thinks it’s epilepsy and prescribed epiphen solution. She asked if he yelps and scratches for no reason I was so upset I didn’t ask why she asked those questions. I am so worried hope you can help . He is a cavalier King Charles and he turned 6 in July thank you

Hi there and thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach to address your concern. If no diagnostics have been performed yet, I would strongly recommend having Oscar's blood tested and see if there are any abnormalities moving forward. If there are no abnormalities, a neurologist would be the next one to see for a second opinion on why we may be seeing seizures in Oscar. I hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns and I would be more than happy to help you further.
