My puppy's testicles are red but not swollen. Should I see a vet?

He could have a contact dermatitis from coming into contact with a cleaner or soap or some other substance. I recommend getting him checked by your vet to determine the cause of the redness and get him treated if needed.

Your dog's testicles should have descended when he was a much younger dog. The fact that you're just noticing this now makes me very worried that something is wrong. He could have a torsion, mass, or infection. I would have him seen by a veterinarian as soon as possible. He may need to be neutered to resolve this issue.

Many dogs develop redness in the testicles, it's not always considered to be an issue but it could sometimes be a sign of infection or allergic reaction. you should monitor it for a few days, if the problem does not resolve you should probably get it checked by your vet. having him neutered will also solve the problem.

All these causes can call significant pain as well as need immediate surgical intervention. Do not give him any pain medication at home as it can be very toxic to dogs.

A check up, appropriate disinfection and possibly anti-inflammatory ointment are needed to solve the problem. At home, some zinc oxide ointment/cream (like sudocream) can be apply twice daily.
