My rescued pit bull has a red lump on her stomach. Is it serious?

Updated on September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Female | 35 lbs

I recently rescued a female pit bull, don't know how old she is however I'm sure she's an adult. She has a lesion on her stomach that gets red from time to time but doesn't seem to cause her any discomfort. Should this be something to be alarmed by?! #Loving Owner

Yes, I would be a bit worried. The location of that lump is concerning. I would definitely have it checked out. It's not an emergency but I would try to have it checked out soon.

I know you love Sasha. She is lucky you rescued her! Best wishes!
