Why is my dog's skin red, itchy, bleeding, and face swollen?

It could be allergies, and although allergies occur more frequently when dogs are a little older, some younger dogs can be affected too. Since the lesions are itchy parasites (such as demodex, etc.) and infection ( bacterial, fungal) need to ruled out as well. Since your guy is uncomfortable the best plan is to see you vet to test for the above so that the correct treatment is prescribed. This may be from an allergic reaction from a bite or something in the environment. some part of her legs look like there may be a secondary infection in the skin. Due to the redness and swelling she should be seen by your vet for medication to treat the infection and underlying cause

If she does not have a history of a traumatic wound, she could have an infected tooth. This can create an abscess under the skin that can rupture open. Poor girl. If she is a young dog, I would be highly suspicious of demodex mites or scabies. You will have to get her seen by your vet for proper testing of her skin and then medication to help resolve not only the underlying issue, but the secondary skin infection she has. That is a really large swelling so he should be examined and treated by a vet. Your vet can do some testing to figure out the cause and then prescribe medications to treat. He may need an antibiotic, anti-histamine, corticosteroid, or other medications. Please call your vet and have him examined.

This sounds like he may have gotten into an ant nest or have a secondary skin infection from an allergic reaction. I recommend a veterinary exam and probably antibiotics to heal this skin infection. In the mean time you can bathe Browny in a medicated shampoo and apply a thin film of antibacterial ointment on the sores he can't reach to lick. Your veterinarian can also give medication to reduce the itch and inflammation. This sounds painful also so please take him in soon for treatment. It could be an insect sting, an allergic reaction, mite infestation and many other thing, each problem has a different treatment. without at least seeing a picture i could not tell you what it could be in more details.
