My dog's eye is red with green discharge. Is it infection or glaucoma?

Unfortunately, without seeing Sadie in person, I can't say if she does have glaucoma or not. In order to diagnose her with glaucoma, her intraocular pressure needs to be taken with a tonometer. It is possible that if the medication isn't help her symptoms, she could have glaucoma, but again I can't say for certain without seeing her in person. I would have Sadie seen by a vet as soon as possible.

Ouch, poor Halie! A red lesion on the eye affected by glaucoma could indicate that her eye pressures have increased to such a level that the eye has ruptured. Please take Halie to an ER vet immediately to assess her condition, as this can be extremely painful. Aside from putting an Elizabethan/cone collar on her to prevent further injury, there isn't anything else that you can do at home at this point.

It sounds as Willow is suffering from an eye infection, it is relatively common in dogs. you will need to take her to the vet the first chance you get, the vet will check the eyes, if it is indeed a simple eye infection your vet will prescribe an antibiotic eye drops that will probably solve the problem in no time.

The eye lids appear very red and with the history of the runny eye discharge with a sudden onset, there could be a scratch on the cornea or a foreign object trapped under the eye lid. An allergic reaction is also possible. Corneal scratches and foreign objects in the eye are uncomfortable and can get worse quickly. Chester needs to wear an elizabethan collar at all times and he should be examined today by the veterinarian for correct diagnosis and treatment. I hope this helps.

At least in these pictures, his cornea appears affected. I highly recommend that you have him evaluated by your veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. Poor Pippa! I definitely see the discharge in the inner corner of her eye, and a little bit of redness. You should definitely have her examined by a vet as soon as possible, because eye issues can turn into emergencies very quickly. The discharge can be due to conjunctivitis, a foreign body, or even a scratch in the cornea (this condition is dangerous as it can quickly progress and even cause a dog to lose their eye). In the meantime, you can get Pippa an E-collar (or "cone") to prevent her from scratching the eye and causing further damage and apply artificial tears to the eye two to three times per day. If it's just the one eye there may be something going on on the corneal surface that you can't see with the naked eye. A vet would need to stain the eye to see a scratch. I would recommend taking him in to check that and get medications to heal it fast. Eyes can go from bad to worse very quickly. Good luck and kisses to Tucker!
