My 4 year old Chihuahua has small red circles on her belly and on her hindquarters

When I hear that a dog has red circles on their body, my first thought is ringworm. This is a highly contagious fungal infection that can spread to other animals and humans as well. It could also be that Sophia has a skin infection or may have injured herself leading to these red circles. The only way to know for sure is to have her seen by a vet, and I recommend taking her in today or tomorrow. The vet can diagnose what is causing them and how best to treat them. If she does have ringworm, you will need to disinfect the environment because the spores can live in it for up to 18 months. I can give you a link to a website on how to do this:

I agree these areas do not look consistent with ringworm. They appear most consistent with a small area of dermatitis or localized skin infection. This is usually due to bacteria on the surface of the skin. It is common for puppies to have occasional areas of dermatitis as their immune system is continuing to develop and become strong. I recommend monitor for signs of itching or pain and if this occurs have Leo examined by your veterinarian.
Also, if more spots develop, particularly if they appear similar to a bruise, then have him evaluated immediately to ensure he isn't having difficulty with his ability to clot his blood. This could occur if he ingested an anti-coagulant substance such as rat poison or some human medications.

This presentation is likely to be due to a mild superficial bacterial infection (bacterial folliculitis) on the ventral abdomen. Nothing to be extremely worried about as it could be self limiting/resolving. Disinfection may be started at home with very diluted hibiscrub or betadine or salted water baths. Buster collar may be useful as well to avoid any licking/scratching (if any). If signs are not resolving, a check up, appropriate disinfection and possibly antibiotics (oral, topical or in a shampoo formulation) will be then needed to solve the problem. It looks like she has a pyoderma which is a skin infection. She should be examined and treated by your vet as she may need an antibiotic to treat the condition. In the meantime, you could bathe her with a medicated shampoo, like Douxo Chlorhexidine shampoo.

What's a red inflamed circle on my dog's belly and is it contagious?

This lesion could indicate a local bacteria infection, possibly ringworm, an insect bite, or just an area of rotation of unknown cause. You could continue to monitor if you feel comfortable and if it does not go away within a few days I would reconsider seeing your veterinarian to ensure it's nothing contagious like ringworm. However if it starts to grow, bleed, become raised, or seems painful it should be seen sooner. In the meantime you could consider cleaning it with a very mild soap and warm water and keeping it clean and dry during the day. As there is a possibility it could be ringworm wash your hands thoroughly after handling the site.

My dog has a red circular rash on belly. Tick, fly bite, or ringworm?

The most common reason that we see red circular rashes in dogs are actually bacterial skin infection. Tick bites rarely cause red circular rashes in dogs (it's more common in people). Ringworm certainly can cause a circular rash, but they often aren't red in dogs. I would recommend having your vet examine Chance and determine what they think is going on. They may be able to tell by looking at it, or they may need to do some special skin tests like skin scrapings or skin cytology in order to determine the best treatment for Chance.
