My dog has red bumps near his neuter wound. Should I see a vet?

If he was neutered recently or in the last few weeks and the blister is by the old incision it could be a suture reaction. There are many reasons for red skin bumps. You can gently warm compress the bump twice daily. If you can post a picture it may help. Otherwise get it checked by your Vet if it doesn't get better

I am concerned with how this looks, it's quite red and swollen. It looks like the area may be infected. Without seeing him in person, I can't say for certain what is causing it, but he should see a vet for it. The vet can diagnose this bump and treat it. I'd take him into the vet in the morning. This sounds like he may be having a reaction or mild infection from the knot in the suture. If the rest of the incision is healed I recommend gently cleaning the bump with hydrogen peroxide. Sometimes it will break open and a small amount of fluid will drain then it will heal. As long as he’s feeling fine give it a few more days to improve. I would continue to monitor it for the next 48 hours. If it does not improve or it worsens, have Jules evaluated by your veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. Hi there and thank you for using pet coach to address your concern. With the symptoms you are describing, this could be what we call a mild case of puppy pyoderma. I would recommend bathing with a shampoo such as Douxo PS chlorhexidine combination shampoo and bathe twice weekly until resolved. I would also recommend starting malacetic conditioning spray 2 to 3 times per day until resolved. You should clean the skin with antiseptic solution twice daily for 3-4 days (for example 4% chlorhexidine). If the bump / blister ( it almost look like inflamed nipple on the picture you posted) does not get better or if it starts to bother Apollo, you should take him to your local vets for an appointment

The swelling should disappear in the next few days. However if the scrotum is painful or hot to touch, you should take Einstein to your local vets for an appointment.
