My dog has a recurring mark. Is it a scratch, rash, or infection?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Female | unspayed | 5 months and 9 days old | 33 lbs

I've noticed this on my dog a few times over the months, not sure if she scratched herself or if it's a rash type of Mark.what does this look like to you?

I agree that it could either be a scratch, or possibly a skin infection. If it is recurring at the same time then I am more suspicious of an infection. I would encourage you to have her evaluated by your veterinarian soon if it doesn’t resolve in the next few days. Best of luck and I hope she improves soon. Thank you for using Pet Coach.

    That could be some sort of wound or infection. Protect the area from scratching by having her wear an elizabethan collar. Don't worry about putting anything on it. Healthy dogs should be able to heal superficial wounds. If it does not start looking significantly better within 7 days or if it starts to get worse, have Chloe examined by the veterinarian.
