My Doberman has recurring blisters under his chin. What is it?

This is not papillomavirus but in fact looks like a skin infection. I would rec bringing him back to the vet and having them evaluate his chin. Typically with these I will treat with antibiotics and sometimes a steroid to clear it up. I recommend swapping out any plastic bowls and rec cleaning bowls every single day, especially the water bowl. Also keeping his chin clean will be very helpful and drying it off after he drinks. Poor Raven. You did well by changing the bowls because it's believed that plastic bowls can cause an allergic reaction in some pets. Really the only way to treat this is with medication to flush the follicles and then treating the secondary bacterial infections. Topical creams or wipes that contain Benzoyl peroxide (Stridex pads) have been used with some success. And then you will need to visit your vet to get a short course of antibiotics prescribed. This looks like a mild infection which is likely an extension of chin acne. This is usually treated with benzoyl peroxide wipes (i.e. Stridex pads) and oral antibiotics. Antihistamines are also often used to help resolve this and some pets requrire steroid thereapy to get this to subside. This is usually caused by a skin allergy which can be from something in then environment or a food allergy. Remove any plastic bowls from you home, since this seems to be a common irritant for chin acne. I hope that your pet Scooby's skin resolves soon! Best wishes and take care.

These look like acne type lesions to me and can occur in dogs secondary to allergies or contact hypersensitivity from things like plastic food bowls. A skin growth or insect bite might be another possibility. I'd recommend having your vet take a look in person to determine what these are - they might recommend taking a sample using a small needle to examine under the microscope.

This looks like chin acne. This can be from allergies causing the irritation and secondary infection. If you are using a plastic dish for meals switching from a plastic feeding bowl to ceramic or metal can help. I recommend wiping her chin off after eating and you can use an human acne pad like Stridex to clean the area. If those thing don’t help a course of oral antibiotics should clear this up. Poor Titan! He is so cute! This sounds like chin acne. Sometimes they need oral antibiotics to go away but unfortunately, the dogs that are prone to them will have problems with them returning. I would make sure his food and water bowls are made out of stainless steel and washed regularly. If not, this could increase his risk to developing these bumps. You can also try stridex pads which you can find in the human facial products of most stores. I would do them once to twice a day while he has the bumps and then at least once a day as a maintenance treatment to help prevent a reoccurrence. If he has never had antibiotics for them or if there are several bumps that have pus coming out of them, I would strongly recommend to have your vet take a look at them to help get rid of the infection. Possible causes are a deep bacterial skin infection (deep pyoderma), demodex (non-contagious mite) and Juvenile Cellulitus (puppy strangles). I recommend you take the to the Vet. Consider having a skin scrape done to check for mites or prophylactically put them on Nexgard or Bravecto (get demodex mites as well as fleas and ticks) and start them on an antibiotic. They usually need to be on antibiotics for several weeks. I would also change their food bowls to metal if they are plastic. Puppy strangles is an immune condition that requires high doses of steroids. I hope this helps and I wish you the best of luck!
