My dog had pyometra surgery. Can her failed kidneys recover?

Pet's info: Dog | Chihuahua | Female | unspayed | 9 years and 1 month old | 10 lbs

My dog just had emergency surgery for a closed pyrometra. The infection caused her kidneys to fail. Can her kidney function be restored?

In many cases of acute kidney injury, recovery is possible but not guaranteed. Intensive treatment is required to support her until her kidneys have a chance to recover and regular monitoring would be recommended to track any ongoing effects if she does recover
