It is fine to use the tramadol as prescribed at the time of her spay but I recommend that you call your Vet first and describe the symptoms that Brooklyn is having. It's impossible for me to say if tramadol is an appropriate drug for her, and she could have underlying health issues I know nothing about that would make this a very unsafe drug for her to take. I also never recommend giving dogs a human pain medication unless specifically prescribed by a vet. If you feel she is in a considerable amount of pain, the best thing to do is take her into an ER vet or find a vet on call to see her tonight. Otherwise, rest her as much as possible. No running, jumping, or playing. Take her out to potty on a leash only and bring her right back in when she's done. You can try putting a cold compress on her shoulder if she will let you to see if that helps with the pain. Have her seen by a vet tomorrow if possible or first thing Monday. The wound looks perfect. Sonetimes they shake because of the after egfects of aneasthetic, but strong pain killers such as tramadol can make dogs feel strange. I would suggest stopping the tramadol now and see how she gets on.

Hi. Unless the pain medication was prescribed for her, do not give her anything, the human medications or over the counter medications aren't always safe and don't have same doses for dogs then people. If her pain level is that bad, I'd go to ER to get pain meds
