Should I give my dog probiotics or enzymes for a sensitive stomach?

I suggest you use Purina Pro Plan Sensitive Skin and Stomach it has probitoics in it already. It is also recommend you feed multiple small meals through the day instead of only one or two larger ones. Be sure she has a very small amount of food in her stomach right before bed. This will keep her stomach from staying empty too long. I don't know how big your dog is so buy the correct size food for her. This food has small breed and regular size. This answer partially depends on what the problem is. However, the most common thing we will recommend for GI health is probiotics (often in conjunction with pre-biotics). Probiotics are the good bacteria in the GI tract that help it stay healthy. There are a number of products on the market. Some are more complete than others. It is best to get probiotics from your veterinarian as the bacteria in a dog's gastrointestinal system are different from those for humans or cows. If you cannot get those, you can feed small amounts of natural (live) yoghurt with his food.

Man, that's a loaded question! In general, choose a good-quality commercial dog food, which will provide all necessary protein, fiber, minerals, and nutrients that a dog needs. There are different formulations that are appropriate for dogs with specific issues, but at 4 months of age, I would not expect Mia to have a sensitive stomach or food allergies - discuss this with your vet, though. Adding in a pet probiotic & prebiotic is an excellent idea for intestinal health in all dogs (just like in all humans!) but it has to be given every day to have any positive effect. Probiotics designed for dogs tend to work better than human probiotics. Keeping Mia on good food and flea and tick and heartworm preventatives and vaccinating her according to your vet's recommendation is the best way to keep her immune system at its peak performance.

A probiotic will help restore and maintain the good gut bacteria and while this is an excellent supplement to give, it will probably not do much for an upset stomach. Murray may need to see his veterinarian if he continues to vomit. There are a variety of causes for vomiting- eating something out of the ordinary, gastrointestinal obstructions, pancreatitis, bacterial, viral, and parasitic infections along with organ dysfunction such as kidney disease, endocrine diseases and even certain cancers. Until Murray can see his veterinarian, I'd recommend withholding food from him for a day (he can have water) to give his stomach a break and then slowly reintroduce his regular food or a bland diet of boiled chicken and rice to him in frequent small amounts. If he continues to vomit, he'll need to see his veterinarian. I hope this helps!

It depends on the cause of the diarrhea. He could have intestinal worms, a food intolerance, in issue called Exocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency (EPI) in which the pancreas doesn't make digestive enzymes. You'll need to start with a vet visit to rule out parasites and try to get his gut settled down. You could also run bloodwork to check for EPI, however we generally wait to see if other methods get the diarrhea under control first. Good luck! I know this is a frustrating issue

I would stick with just the proviable paste. For simple diarrhea, it usually works within 1 or 2 doses. If you combine it with pumpkin you may cause constipation. Once the diarrhea is improved you could add a little bit of oumpkin instrad of the Proviable.
