Why won't my dog's pink forehead spot heal and gets worse in sun?

Pet's info: Dog | Labrador Retriever | Male | neutered | 4 years and 9 months old | 98 lbs

My yellow lab has pink spot on forehead that won't heal. It gets worse when out in the sun.

Hello there and thank you for your post! It looks like a raised skin mass. Many of these are benign cysts or glandular tumors but to be on the safe side I would have your vet take a look at this. We can do a simple test on something like this by sticking a small needle into the mass and look at the contents under the microscope. I hope this helps guide you in the right direction.
