My puppy's eyes are still pink. How often can I give Benadryl?

The dose you were told is a little high, but probably still reasonable. Antihistamines are a somewhat hit and miss in dogs. They will help some dogs, but not others. If you do not see an improvement in the skin around his eyes, then he will need to see his veterinarian. He could have a food allergy, for example, as this commonly affects skin around the eyes. In these case, the dog may be experiencing vomiting, diarrhea or an increased number of bowel movements per day. These dogs can also have skin issues elsewhere and are prone to ear infections. If the swelling is coming down with the Benadryl that you have given, then I would continue giving the Benadryl. You can safely give Benadryl every 8 hours if needed. If the swelling is not improving or is worsening, I would highly recommend taking Cammy to her veterinarian for further treatment / testing. Benadryl is fine and safe to give however if she isn’t calmer out of her kennel you can let out when you are there to supervise her. As long as she is. It running around playing fetch and chasing things or jumping up and down a bunch, then she will be fine. Benadryl can be given twice a day safely and 25 mg is appropriate

Yes this should be fine as long as there isn't xylitol in it. If she is 9 pounds, the other option is to give her 1/2 of an adult 25mg benadryl pill which equals the childrens dose of benadryl. I would also wash him in warm water and Dawn dish soap to get rid of the ants, and you can make a home soothing salve to help with the bites from the ants if he has them using baking soda and water.
