My puppy took Benadryl for swollen eyes, breathing slow. Is he okay?

Typically Benadryl can be given two to three times in a 24 hour period (either 12 or 8 hours between doses), but because I can't see Daisy in person, I can't say it's safe to give it to her that often. I'd give the clinic a call to see if it's ok to give her Benadryl in that frequency.

The dose you were told is a little high, but probably still reasonable. Antihistamines are a somewhat hit and miss in dogs. They will help some dogs, but not others. If you do not see an improvement in the skin around his eyes, then he will need to see his veterinarian. He could have a food allergy, for example, as this commonly affects skin around the eyes. In these case, the dog may be experiencing vomiting, diarrhea or an increased number of bowel movements per day. These dogs can also have skin issues elsewhere and are prone to ear infections. The pictures are kind of blurry but I can tell there is some redness. The swelling is difficult to appreciate. It does seem like an allergic reaction to something, but what.....I cannot say. Since she is acting otherwise normally you can try to give her some over the counter antihistamine medication - you can use diphenhydramine (Benadryl). Unfortunately it is illegal for me to recommend giving Cisco Benadry without seeing him in person. His eye is quite swollen, and this cannot be treated at home. Please take him into a vet immediately.

Allergies are a possibility along with the start of a respiratory infection. You can give Benadryl to dogs and at his weight it would be closer to a whole 25 mg tablet instead of a 1/4. I would say get him checked if the symptoms continue or you notice them progress

Oh my. Swelling of the jaw is extremely problematic because of the close proximity to the throat. Benadryl doesn't always work as efficiently as a steroid shot would, to control an allergic reaction. And the oral Benadryl can take several hours to work. I would recommend taking Lolla to the vet right away for a steroid injection to get this under control quickly. I hope Lolla's swollen jowl returns to normal soon.
