My dog has pimples and black pores on her vulva. What should I do?

Those black specks are basically blackheads (comedones) and the bump is likely a follicular cyst. Nothing is too worriesome. I would use a Benzoyl Peroxide product like for acne. NOT hydrogen peroxide. I suggest this one. The ones you buy over the counter for humans are not the correct strength. This product is more concentrated. It could be a bacterial infection or a yeast infection. Generally these occur just due to the nature of the skin in the area--the environment is dark in the skin folds, and there is some moisture from the skin and sometimes from urine as well. If it is not bothering her (she is definitely not licking at it, etc) it could also be just waxy secretions/plugged hair follicles, etc. You can try using just plain Witch Hazel (available at any pharmacy) on a cotton swab or pad once or twice a day for a few days to see if that helps; however if it does not help or if this seems to irritate her skin further or if she does not like it when you do this, DO NOT CONTINUE TO ATTEMPT THIS METHOD. This could be a bacterial skin infection. If any urine gets trapped on his fur or any moisture, this can predispose them to infection. I would recommend using a spray such as malacetic conditioning spray and apply to the area until resolved. If it does not resolve, I would recommend having a veterinarian take a look at him so that the most appropriate treatment can be administered. I hope this helps! From the pictures and your description it looks as though Poppy may have a skin infection. This can occur due to allergies as well as in areas where skin folds or normal anatomy allow dirt and moisture to become trapped such as around the vulva. For minor irritation, the area can be cleaned with a mild antiseptic or dog shampoo. If you are noticing these lesions elsewhere or if Poppy is licking or chewing at the area, she should be seen by your veterinarian.

Yes, I would recommend having your vet examine Isabelle since the areas are not going away and potentially getting worse. It looks like she may have puppy pyoderma, which is a skin infection. The skin of the puppy is quite sensitive, and it can be common for them to get this skin infection around the genital area and stomach. I am sorry to hear about your dog! These look like they could be pustules, or small spots of bacterial infection, perhaps from some minor trauma to the skin during mating which then became infected with bacteria. I would recommend having your vet examine the area, as they may want to prescribe antibiotics to treat the infection.
