Hello, sorry to hear about Chewy. Depending on how it feels that could be something benign such as a fluid filled cyst or an abscess (pocket of infection and pus), or it could be something more aggressive such as cancer. The only way to tell is by taking a sample of it and looking at the cells under the microscope. If it's a cyst or an abscess, your veterinarian will be able to tell most likely without needing to look at the cells.

I would recommend having the lump evaluated by your veterinarian. In the interim you should monitor the lump daily to note any changes in size or appearance.

I wouldn't worry unless it seems to bother Buckley. Puppies often have small skin rashes, papules and pustules that develop due to their developing immune system. Monitor it for now and see if it resolves on its own within the next 1-2 weeks.
If it seems to spread, bother Buckley, or does not resolve then you can have your vet take a look at it to make sure it doesn't require any specific medical treatment.

That does look like some sort of growth or irritation. Due to its location, I would have it examined by your vet and a sample taken, especially if it's growing rapidly bothersome, or changing in appearance.

That little bump appears to look like a small pustules (pimple). If this is the only one I would watch it and make sure it dries up and heals in the next few days. However, watch for more to pop up anywhere on his body because puppy pyoderma or skin infection is common in young dogs. If several pop up he should be evaluated by your veterinarian as soon as possible. Best of luck and thank you for using Pet Coach.

Thank you for providing pictures of Gucci's bump. From the pictures, it looks like it could be a cyst, a benign tumor, or a malignant tumor. Any suspicious lumps should be examined by the vet. The vet can perform a test called a fine needle aspirate on it. To do this, the vet sticks a small needle into the lump to get a sample of it's cells, and examines the cells on a slide under a microscope. It's usually painless to the animal, and relatively quick to perform. Once the cause of the lump is diagnosed, the vet can discuss treatment options with you. Given that the lump is getting bigger, I would have him seen by a vet on Monday. Good luck, I hope this helps!

My male dog has a red lump on his penis skin. What should I do?

You can cleanse it with a mild soap (i.e. Dove) and warm water and then apply a very thin layer of Neosporin to it twice a day. Monitor it to see if it resolves on its own within the next 3-7 days. If it bothers Chico at any point, then it is best to get it seen by your veterinarian for further testing. However if this is just an inflammatory response then it should resolve on its own within a week. If not, then it may need to be aspirated or biopsied to determine what it is and how we need to go about treating it. I hope everything works out ok for Chico.

What's this bump on my dog's scrotum? Should I take him to the vet?

From the pictures you have sent the "bump" appears to be a skin growth. There are several types off masses that can grow in the skin of dogs such as cysts, lipomas and some types of cancers. Some are benign and some are malignant, so careful observation is important, as well as having a vet examine it if you are concerned. Since you only just noticed the lump, and Doom is neutered, I would continue to monitor it for growth, ulceration, changes in texture or color. Measure the mass with a ruler so you can compare its growth in a couple weeks time. Rapidly growing masses are more concerning. If the mass has grown or changed in that time I would advise taking Doom to have the mass examined and analyzed. I hope that this answer was helpful and more importantly that Doom feels better soon.
