My husky is peeing blood and losing weight. Is it stress or illness?

Poor Sasha! Vomiting up blood is worrisome. She may have a stomach ulcer causing this or worse yet some type of bleeding disorder. The shelters do their best to assess pet health with what limited funds they have but underlying disease can go undetected. Huskies are also known to be quite anxious and the stress of the move could have caused a stomach ulcer. However, I would air on the side of caution here and take her into the vet right away for a full physical examination to determine what the underlining cause is. It is good that she is eating and drinking OK and stable for now. But we want to make sure to get her treated now and not let things get any worse.

I recommend that you have Nala evaluated by your veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. Further diagnostics would include abdominal imaging and lab work. I am very sorry to hear that you are experiencing these issues with Prince. From the Shintoism you are describing i believe a few different issues may be present. Intestinal parasites are very common in PUPPIES, so much so that vets recommend treating puppies several times for worms in their first year. Intesta worms can cause diarrhoea, weight loss or failure to gain weight in growing animals. It also seems possible that I am Prince bas Balanoposthitis which is inflammation of the penis or prepuce. It is very common in sexually mature dogs, especially those that are unenutered. It may be caused by an infection, and may involve structures higher up in the urinary tract, such as the bladder. Therefore it is a good idea to have Prince checked out by your veterinarian. The vet can possibly examine the area and see the full extent of the inflammation, clean and rinse the area, prescribe antibiotics, and check for underlying causes. Your vet can also prescribe a worming tablet or injection for Prince. In the meantime, please try to keep Prince from licking the area, and use a cone if need be, as the licking further aggravates the condition. Hello. This could be a result of a serious bladder infection, prostatitis, urinary bladder stones, a bleeding polyp/mass or trauma. This definitely warrants a trip to your veterinarian ASAP. This behavior can actually be a sign of a UTI or bladder stones. I'd have Monty seen by a vet for this for blood work and a urinalysis. Using these tests, the vet can diagnose if he has one of the things I mentioned above, and can treat him. I'd take him into a vet today. I hope this helps!

He could have a urinary tract infection so he should be examined by a vet. Your vet can run a urinalysis to look for infection and other potential causes. He could also have urinary stones, prostate problem, tumor, etc. If he has an infection then he will need an antibiotic to treat.

This sounds more like your dog has a chronic gastro-intestinal problem such as food intolerance, gastritis, chronic or acute pancreatitis, food indiscretion, or even a tumor, liver disease. He also may have a chrionic infection somewhere, e.g. in his prostate, which could be the cause of the blood in his urine, or kidney disease. The signs are too unspecific to pinpoint a cause, so you need to take Potato to your vet for an exam and blood work, and possibly xrays. Please make an appointment right away.
