There is unlikely to be a tick in the wound but it may have started as a tick bite or spider bite or something else that cause the wound. They can get inflamed and infected and lead to drainage and not healing well. clean the area with warm soap and water and apply neosporin. Hello! That looks like some type of puncture wound on Lobo’s foot. Often this is due to stepping on/running into something sharp. Sometimes it can be related to a grass awning (called a foxtail) working its way into the skin. It can also represent a fungal infection or the emergence of a fly larvae. Lesions like this should generally be examined by the veterinarian since further treatment and antibiotics may be needed. I recommend to get Lobo into the veterinarian within the next few days. In the meantime, protect the area from licking bye have having him where an Elizabethan collar at all times. You can wash the area gently with soap and water and rental. I highly recommend that you have your veterinarian take a look at the wound to see if it requires further local therapy with debridement and cleaning. This could be an abscess, a deep cyst, or even a tumor. I'd recommend you monitor it for an increase in size, change, redness or discharge. If you notice those signs or it does not go away within the next 12 to 24 hours I recommend your dog be examined by their veterinarian. I would not give any human pain medication as it can be very toxic to dogs.
