My puppy has a paw cut. Should I go to the vet or treat it myself?

Updated on September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Siberian Husky | Male | 10 months and 11 days old

My puppy got a cut on one of his paws a couple days ago when he was at a family ranch and I am not sure if I should take him to the vet or if there is something I can put on the cut to help it heal.

Poor Lobo! It looks like this cut is starting to heal, so I would keep an eye on it for now. Keep the area clean and dry, and if you see any signs of infection (redness, swelling, warmth to the touch, and pus), then I would take him into the vet to have it treated. Best of luck, I hope this helps!
