Why is my dog panting and suddenly having trouble walking straight?

She does need to see a vet as soon as you can as this sounds like a neurological problem. It may be a stroke, an inner ear infection, or vestibular disease. Your vet will examine her and start her on medicine to help with the dizziness and off balance so she can rest. Most regain normal function with time and treatment.

I would recommend a recheck and possibly pelvic xrays by your vet. The tucked tail and awkward/weak gait indicates pain or weakness in the hindlimbs or pelvis and may require additional treatment. It would be advisable to receheck the fistulas during this visit to rule out deeper abscesses developing also

That seems unusual for a young dog so I do recommend a veterinary exam to make sure there is no problem with his heart and lungs. They will listen to his heart and lungs and perhaps take an X-ray too. A blood panel to check for anemia is also indicated. This could even due to weakness from perhaps getting into something he should not have. For this reason, I recommend that you consider taking him to your veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. A problem with his spine would explain the issues he has been having with both the front and hind legs. He could have a slipped disc. I would take him into a vet asap. The vet can diagnose what is causing his problem and can treat him. I would suspect the vet will want to do x-rays. I hope this helps!

I am so sorry to hear that Holly is going through so much. Often when I see a dog who is acting the way you describe I find that they are painful in the neck or the back. I worry that she may have a slipped disc that may be causing her pain and her instability. I would highly encourage you to have her evaluated by your veterinarian as soon as possible. If there is an emergency veterinarian available tonight then at least she could get some pain medication and be more comfortable until you can see your regular veterinarian. Poor Buddy! I'm sorry to hear that he's having this problem. From your description, I would be concerned about a possible neurologic problem such as a stroke or brain tumor. He may also have severe arthritis issues, or may have a systemic illness of some kind or may have ingested something toxic. This sounds quite serious, so I would recommend taking him to an emergency clinic this evening for an exam. The veterinarian there can do blood work or other testing if needed to help diagnose the problem and see what can be done to help.
