My pug puppy on medication won't eat or drink. Is this normal?

Poor pup. If your puppy isn't eating and taking medicine by mouth, then she may be too sick to be treated at home. Also some medications, such as antibiotics, require a full meal to avoid causing stomach upset in your pet. In this scenario, I would highly recommend getting injectable medicines done for her at your local vet clinic, that way you can ensure she gets the medicine she needs. Discuss this option with your vet. I am unsure what your pet is being treated for, but if the situation is dire, then your pet may need to be hospitalized in order to give the injectable medications repeatedly. If that was the cause then she should start getting better in the next day or so. If no improvement, have her evaluated by your veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. Good luck! Dogs are pretty good at regulating their water intake. If he is eating normally, then I would suspect he is adequately hydrated. If the bland diet is moist food, there will also be increased water content in it.

I am concerned that his loss of appetite is likely due to the antibiotics. For that reason, if he is otherwise doing fine, what I would recommend is that you contact your veterinarian to see if that seems likely based on the rest of his medical history and also to see if they would consider discontinuing the antibiotics at this time to see if his appetite resumes. I am concerned that Pepper is not drinking water and could become dehydrated. For this reason, I recommend you have Pepper evaluated by a veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. If Peggy has a large worm burden (lots of worms) then she likely feels sick and doesn't want to eat, and likely won't want to eat until the worms are gone. If the medication that your vet gave is a dewormer (typically a liquid called Panacur/Fenbendazole), then you can give it without food. This might clear out the worms and get Peggy eating again. If the medication is an antibiotic (Metronidazole, Amoxyclav), then this needs to be given with food. You can also talk to your vet about trying an anti-nausea medication to see if this helps with the appetite. If Peggy has abdominal pain, or is vomiting, please have her seen right away as high worm burdens can lead to a very life-threatening condition called intussusception. Poor Muffin! I'm not sure when you say she isn't eating well if she isn't eating a much as usual, or is having trouble eating. Both of those could be a sign of a medical illness, such as infection, systemic disease, or inflammation. It could also be a sign of teething. I would take her into the vet for an exam, it's not good that she isn't eating well. Eating enough is important for her health, and medical cause should be ruled out. I would make sure she is eating a puppy formulated food, and you can try to make the dry food more tempting by soaking it with gently warmed low sodium beef or chicken broth.
